Keep your workout regime fun and diverse!
Variety is the spice of life! It is so important to keep your kinds of activity fun, challenging, and fresh! That is the best way to prevent your body from plateauing and the smartest way to stay interested in constant movement. Today I had my first semi-private gymnastics lesson. I've never done gymnastics so it was a humbling challenge but I had soooo much fun! To make it even better, I did the lesson with one of my most favorite people in the whole world! The core strength I've gotten from Mission Possible™ really helped me to endure some of the exercises and I can't wait to try more!!! I was doing handstands, using the rings, and rocking out on the trampoline! I'm so determined to do a back flip without spraining my toe! Haha! Try a new kind of workout this week to keep your body interested in burning calories. You never have to get bored of working out, EVER! You can: dance, swim, jog, do Pilates, Spin, do gymnastics, and join the team in Mission Possible™ (of course!). |

So important!
Mixing it up is one of the keys to longevity in my opinion. Last year, I switched out of my routine and tried new stuff - it made all the difference in the world, because the enthusiasm was there. Other things you can do - take a kettlebell class, do the crossfit workout of the day if there is no need for equipment(it's always posted at crossfit.com), swim in the ocean (fight the waves!). You can do circuit training with weights as well. If you are used to machine cardio, try switching up - I like using a rower.
Also, when doing something new, you force your body to adapt to a different stimulus. You can actually ignite your fat burning capability a bit more.
Good stuff Jenna! |
