Smoothie recipes
For all you smoothie experts out there, i just created one and it's quite tasty...question is... is it a good nutritional combo? You tell me. I mixed 2 scoops of the Isagenix Vanilla with 8 oz H20 and ice, one packet of stevia, handful of flax seeds, one tbsp bee pollen, one banana and 2 tbsp almond butter.. what's the verdict? Yummy. Also, any good recipes for me? I'm going to try and have 2 of these a day for a while and see how ti goes.

Stairs in South Dakota!
| I'm away for a few days in a tiny little town in the Midwest. I didn't want to abandon my workouts, so i asked my fiance's Dad (also the town's Mayor) if there were any stairs i could utilize. Sure enough, he opened up the Dakota Dome- home of USD Coyotes Football- and i had all the bleachers, plus a running track all to myself! I took full advantage of all of it and got in a good hour of cardio plus lunges and squats... i even did some sprints... (i know, shocking)! I'm going to rest the knees today and just do some crunches, etc. I'm hitting the dome again tomorrow though.

Missing the empowerment of Mission!
| Ladies ( occasional guy and new guy) I am missing everyone so! Mission ( and Jennas positive attitude) has become such a staple in my day to day routine that I am seriously sad when I miss so many sessions. Truth be told, life is rough right now and is demanding my attention in so many directions. That said, I purchased some 8lbs weights Erin and expect that we are still vying for who has the best "wendy arms"! Tee hee. I will be back in action this weekend - attending Saturday Mission! See you all then! Ps- Dino is upset he has missed Runyon and tells me he really has no problem sharing the ladies with a couple of pugs Keri :) |

Pug agents?
I wish I could bring the boys to MP, but unfortunately pugs just aren't possible enough for what we do...lol! They're good to run/play for about 30 min, but then it's back to bed to get in those 18 hours of sleep per day (i'm not kidding). Besides, Dino wouldn't want them honing in on his women... |

Another day away from la~
I MISS JENNA PHILLIPS!!!
So last night I was up working like crazy on a variety of projects (think thesis and more thesis) and thought of my schedule and how I would like to jump up and go running this morning , not a huge run mind you because I'm sooo NOT the runner!! I wake up this morning to run and it's RAINING!! Discouraged because I'm locked in, no treadmill in site, I go to my computer and check my emails and there is Jenna!! MOTIVATION MOTIVATION!!
I did some familar yoga poses incorporated with some pilates (simple stretches agents) and I feel SUPER!!! I had a bowl of oatmeal and some bluberries so yummy!!! So far so good but I can't express how much I miss la particularly the mission possible team!!!!!!!

Runyon today...
First of all, i just have to note how happy i am that today, a formatting box magically appeared on my blog so you won't have to read this with a microscope anymore! So i did Runyon on my own today... the cool weather is a thing of the past, but nonetheless, i got thru it in 70 minutes...complete with lunges, squats, kicks, etc. (ok, so i didn't run suicides on the tennis court, but overall, a great effort was put forth!). It's going to be a 100+ degree day on Thursday, so we all know that even in the AM, it's gonna be toasty up there. I propose heading up at 8:00 or 8:30AM. Thoughts? Comments?

Dear Diary,
| Because i made a conscious decision to embrace positivity and take control of what i CAN do (thank you, jenna), today's Mission @ Runyon was brilliant! I know now that I can achieve much more than I ever imagined when I started doing this. I am a perfectionist by nature...and the one thing i've never been able to get a handle on is my body/weight. I obsess about it and I'm often very negative. My attitude is usually my limitation. Even if I show up 4 days/week, I continue to tell myself that it's not enough because the results never happen fast enough for me. In order to change, this thought process MUST change, and i understand that now. It is crystal clear to me that if i continue to beat myself mentally, my body will listen to what my brain is conveying. This cannot be about a number or a size or any of that. This is a Mission to be MY personal best. This is a whole new way of thinking for me... i hardly recognize myself even writing it, but i do believe it is paramount to this journey. I have been given the gift of time this year and I am determined to make the very most of it. My life is way too good to be anything but HAPPY. This continues tomorrow... see you in Santa Monica! |

day 1...all over again
| It sure did feel like that anyway! I was busy doing my civic duty as Juror #10 for the past 8 days. By the time i got home from court every night, i had zero energy to work out. So today @ Runyon was very rough. But, as usual, Jenna was as motivating as ever, and that helped me out alot. So I'm heading to SM tomorrow to try and start a much needed trend of consistency! See you there :) |

hump day!
| Todays back and bicep workout was short because I was in a hurry this morning. But I felt great! I didn't get a chance to do any cardio afterwards, but i will probably run or take a walk tonight. |
